Court cases are filed using the standardized court forms you can find on this page (local forms) or the Judicial Council website (state forms). The most commonly used forms in court are state forms
Form Packets: For your convenience, we have assembled "form packets" that contain all the forms you need for commonly filed case types. Most of our form packets will include filing instructions and/or checklists you can follow to help complete your forms. If any further assistance is needed please contact the Self Help Center at the Nevada County Superior Court or an attorney of your choosing. Packets of required forms are also available for purchase in the Civil Clerks Office
State Forms: These forms are available on the Judicial Council of California website and are approved for use in any Superior Court in the state. State forms are available for Adoptions, Appellate, Civil, Criminal, Conservatorships, Guardianships, Family Law, Juvenile, Name Change, Probate, Small Claims and Traffic
Local Forms: In addition to the State forms, we have created a set of "local" forms that are specific to our County that you may need to use as your case continues.
